After the backlight died on my laptop, instead of merely replacing the broken parts, I thought it would be more fun to experiment and add functionality. My mouse stopped working properly so I had to fix it. But I thought "Why just fix something when it can be improved?!" So here is the result, my newly 'improved' Logitech G5.

The Roland VK-8

This, I must have. Having owned the same keyboard for 5 years now, I have finally decided on an upgrade. I only use two of the tones, piano and organ, and my Roland RD300SX has a perfect piano sound. So, what better to emulate an organ than a keyboard with physical drawbars, a D-Beam controller and enough knobs to keep a monkey happy. As Wayne Campbell himself said, "It will be mine. Oh yes. It will be mine."
